This one’s for the women who left —
and are now choosing to return with a different kind of strength.
Four years ago, I left social media.
I told myself it was about boundaries. Peace.
Less noise. More presence.
And in part, that was true.
But there was something else underneath it:
I was hiding.
From judgment.
From the pressure to keep showing up.
From the fear that maybe… I didn’t have anything new to say.
Because how do you come back when everything about you has shifted?
When the kids are grown.
When your body feels unfamiliar.
When your priorities have quietly rearranged themselves, and you no longer recognize the life you once built.
It felt safer to go silent.
Until silence turned into stagnation.
And stagnation began to feel like self-betrayal.
So here I am.
Not with a shiny plan.
Not with a curated version of who I used to be.
But with a heart that’s been cracked open —
by grief.
By menopause.
By identity loss and reinvention.
By life, in all its messy, unfiltered truth.
I’m not coming back to be seen.
I’m coming back to connect.
To serve.
To say what I’ve lived — and keep living what I say.
Clarity doesn’t come from disappearing forever.
It comes from pausing.
Listening.
And then re-entering the world, even before you feel fully ready.
That’s the work.
That’s the edge.
That’s the YES.
