Settled, Yet Stuck

Settled, Yet Stuck

How did I go from feeling settled — yet stuck…
to strong, focused, and fired up about life again?

Ever felt like you’re living a life that doesn’t quite feel like yours?
I did.

I’ve lived an intense, intentional, and free life.
I’ve loved deeply. I’ve lost deeply.
Freedom, family, and lifestyle have always been my anchors.

But somewhere along the way…
I stopped dreaming forward.
And when I stopped dreaming, I stopped evolving.

I quietly settled into a version of myself that was fine.
But it wasn’t me.
Not the woman who chased challenges — even the hard ones.

And menopause? Pfffff.
No sleep.
No energy.
No drive.

I kept breaking promises I made to myself.
And it hurt to watch myself drift from the woman I knew I could be.

The turning point?
When the pain of staying the same became heavier than the fear of failing.
Or even the fear of succeeding.

So I made a quiet promise to myself:
To say yes to life again.

And this time, I followed through.

I told my husband.
My kids.
My closest girlfriends.
My parents. My sister.

It felt like a confession:
“I’m choosing me. I’m ready to return to what I started in my early 30s — but now with the life experience of a 56-year-old.”

And everything shifted.
Opportunities showed up.
Momentum returned.
My energy came back.
Doors opened. People arrived.
Possibility re-entered the room.

Was it divine timing?
My soul calling?
The universe meeting me halfway?
Maybe all of the above.

But here’s what I know:
I moved — and life moved with me.

Here’s what I did to keep that momentum alive — my non-negotiables:

🧘‍♀️ Movement that grounds and strengthens
Yoga. Swimming. Hiking.
Not just for my body — but for clarity and calm. These practices became my sanctuary.

💪 Lifting heavy — on purpose
Because muscle is strength. Especially in midlife.
I wish I’d restarted sooner. But I’m so glad I started.
It’s empowering to feel strong again.

🎧 Listening to powerful voices
Women like @jjvirgin, @drstacysims, @drvondawright — redefining what vitality looks like after 40.
They reminded me: Midlife isn’t decline. It’s a reset.

🥗 Fueling myself like I matter
Fresh food. Protein-forward meals.
30g per meal. ~100g/day.
I tracked it. I felt it. Game-changer.

🧠 Creatine
Yup — that supplement.
Turns out it’s a powerhouse for women in midlife.
Energy. Muscle. Mental clarity. Daily non-negotiable.

🔥 Sauna
Backyard sauna blessings (thank you, my Finnish husband!).
It helps with everything.
Also: best place to talk with teenagers. (Seriously.)

🛌 Sleep
When my sleep came back, I came back.
Everything else flowed from there.
Prioritizing rest changed everything.

🧭 Accountability
A full year of coaching. Weekly sessions.
Support. Clarity. Truth.
No more hiding. No more “maybe later.”
Just: Do what you say. Say what you do.

Every time I kept a promise to myself,
I trained a muscle: Courage. Confidence. Commitment.
And with every rep — I came back to me.

This is what I help women in midlife do.
One small step. One real promise.
To build a bold, beautiful next chapter they’re proud of.

✨ If you’re ready to say yes, I’m right here.
And trust me — you’re so much closer than you think.
